The Coach’s Take: Steps into a starting role after playing significantly the last two years… A hard worker who possesses big-play potential… Has excellent leadership skills and knowledge of the offensive system.  

2008: Played in all 12 contests, making three starts… Finished with 36 receptions for 411 yards… Rushed four times for 22 yards… Blocked two kicks and was awarded the squad’s Most Outstanding Special Teams Player honor… Posted a career-best 74 receiving yards on five catches in a SoCon decision over Samford… Caught two balls for 52 yards, including a career-long 47-yard reception, in a league victory at Chattanooga… Hauled in a career-high seven passes for 71 yards at then-No. 2 Appalachian State… 2007: Saw time in all 11 games… Caught four passes for 24 yards and one touchdown… Caught his first career TD in a win over West Virginia Wesleyan… Had a catch for 12 yards in a victory over Stony Brook… Made eight tackles as a special teams player. 

Prep: Helped lead coach Richard Bailey’s team to second and third round state playoff appearances his final two seasons… Set program records for most receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns… Caught 52 passes for 795 yards and 10 scores as a senior… Team MVP… Received all-conference and all-region accolades.
