Biography

The Coach’s Take: A versatile player who expects to make serious contributions on both offense and special teams… Had a productive spring.  

2008: Rushed for 270 yards on 54 carries in 11 games as a red-shirt freshman… Scored four rushing touchdowns… Caught 17 passes for 233 yards and two scores… Racked up a SoCon Freshman of the Week performance with a career-best 91 yards on the ground on seven carries and scored three times in a victory over Presbyterian… Grabbed three balls for a career-best 106 yards, including a 91-yard TD reception, in a league win over Samford… Made a career-high four catches for 25 yards in the season-opener against eventual National Champion Richmond… 2007: Red-shirted due to an injury, but appeared in two contests early in the season… Carried the ball six times for 44 yards and one score. 

Prep: Finished his career as the fourth all-time leading rusher at Ocean City High… Dubbed Ocean City’s Male Athlete of the Year… Named Maxwell Award winner and Brooks-Irvine Scholar-Athlete. 

Personal: Son of Al, who played football for Joe Paterno at Penn State, and Alisa Harris… Brother of teammate Chris Harris… Born June 29, 1988… Interned for Fox 8 WGHP in High Point this summer… Majoring in media arts and entertainment.
