Biography

The Coach’s Take: Enters preseason camp competing for the back-up quarterback spot on the depth chart. 

2008: Saw time in four contests… Threw for 63 yards after completing nine of his 11 pass attempts… Completed four of six passes for 35 yards in a win over Presbyterian… 2007: Appeared in three games… Completed one of two passes for 39 yards and one score… 2006: Red-shirted. 

Prep: Helped guide Landstown to a state championship appearance in 2005… Passed for a state high school single-season record 3,800 yards as a senior… Threw 42 touchdowns that same year… Named USA Today player of the week, First Team All-Beach, First Team All-Tidewater and second team all-state in 2005… Threw for 5,300 yards and 75 touchdowns in his career. 

Personal: Son of Donny and Twila Kirby… Born October 8, 1987… Interned for W.E. Love Insurance in Burlington this summer… Majoring in business administration.
