The Coach’s Take: Talented athlete who is slated to start at wide receiver this fall… Impressed the coaching staff with his consistency in spring drills… Has a good knowledge of the offensive system.  

2008: Grabbed 23 balls for 172 yards and two touchdowns… Returned 25 kicks for 519 yards, averaging 20.8 yards per return… Scored his first career touchdown on a six-yard reception in a SoCon victory over Samford… Caught four balls for 27 yards and rushed four times for 31 yards in a league win over then-No. 15 Furman… Tied a career-high with eight catches for 46 yards in the season finale at Liberty… 2007: Caught eight passes for 103 yards in 11 games… Threw one pass, a completion for 16 yards at South Florida. 

Prep: Helped coach Ronald Greene’s Burns team to three consecutive conference titles… Three-time first team all-conference and two-time all-county pick at quarterback… Played in the Honolulu High School Bowl… Two-year team captain… Named Charlotte Observer All-Piedmont, Charlotte Observer Piedmont Player of the Year, The Associated Press First Team All-State, North Carolina 3A Player of the Year and Old Spice National Top 50 Player of the Year as a senior… Cleveland County’s all-time leading career passer.
