Career Summary
Tyler Seibring, a native of Normal, Illinois, concluded his career as one of the best and most decorated players in Elon University men's basketball history. Seibring finished his career as the first Elon player from the program's NCAA Division I era (since 1999-2000) to finish in the top-10 all-time in scoring and rebounding. He is also the only player in program history to be named a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-American. The three-time All-CAA and two-time NABC All-District 10 selection finished his career with 1,794 career points (6th all-time) and 779 career rebounds (10th all-time). Additionally, Seibring concluded his career ranked first in program history with a career 40.9% (278-680) shooting from three-point range and his 278 made three-pointers ranks second in program history. Seibring became the 40th player in program history to eclipse 1,000 career points and was just the 11th player to reach the mark as a junior. He was also named to the 2015-16 CAA All-Rookie Team as a freshman, was a three-time CAA Player of the Week and a three-time CAA Rookie of the Week. As a double major in Economics and English, Seibring was one of the most distinguished student-athletes in Elon University history as a member for the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society and carrying a 3.95 GPA. Seibring was also named the 2018-19 Colonial Athletic Association's Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a senior and was a two-time CAA Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year during his Phoenix career. As a junior, he was named the CAA Dean Ehlers Leadership Award winner and was also the recipient of the university's Robert C. Browne Memorial Sportsmanship Award as a sophomore at the 2016-17 Elon Athletics Awards Banquet. Also, Seibring was a candidate for the Senior CLASS Award and was a nominee for the NABC Give Back Team during the 2018-19 season. Seibring was a two-time team captain as a junior and a senior and was named the team's MVP three times from his sophomore year until his senior season.
