JACKSONVILLE, AL -- Elon College and the rest of the field at the 2000 Amoco Ultimate-Young Oil Intercollegiate will have to wait another day. The tournament, hosted by Jacksonville State, was hassled by rain for the second consecutive day on Monday.

Sunday's first-round action was rained out and play lasted about an hour and a half on Monday.

"Today's scores for the seven holes have been wiped out," said host SID Joel Lamp. "The tournament has been shortened to just 18 holes. We will not be trying to get 36 in tomorrow."

Tournament action is scheduled to resume at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
