WALLACE, NC -- Laura Orlen fired a two-over-par 74 twice Monday to card a two-round 148 after the first day of action in the Lady Seahawk Invitational at the River Landing Country Club.

Entering Tuesday's third (and final) round, Orlen's score landed her in a tie for seventh place with Florida State's Kristin Tamulis in the 93-golfer tournament. Michigan's Kim Benedict tallied a 73-71--144 to take a one-stroke lead over Maryland's Erin Clasper (71-74--145) on the 5,957-yard course.

Teammates Sammy Sue Wilson (Tied 35th, 79-76--155), Katie Knoepffler (Tied 63rd, 81-79--160), Michelle Williams (89th, 86-87--173) and Becky Poindexter (90th, 88-86--174) all contributed to the Phoenix efforts.
