Highlighting the schedule this season will be NCAA Tournament participants Kent State, Penn and Davidson as well as Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame and Georgia Southern who all appeared in the post-season NIT. Penn, Davidson and Georgia Southern will all play in the “Nest” this season while the Phoenix travels to Kent State, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt and Notre Dame.

“We have a challenging schedule this season,” said Nestor. “With a team composed of so many freshmen and sophomores, we’ll have to grow up fast.”

The Phoenix opens the season on Nov. 10 in an 8 p.m. contest at Georgia Tech. Elon’s first home appearance will be on Nov. 14 against Montreat in a 7 p.m. tilt.

Elon’s other non-conference road game will be at High Point. The Phoenix will participate in the Kent State University Tournament on Dec. 29-30 along with New Hampshire and Shawnee State. Elon will travel to a yet-to-be-determined opponent on Feb. 17 for a BracketBusters game. In other non-conference action at home, the Phoenix will welcome Virginia Commonwealth to the “Nest.”

Elon opens the Southern Conference schedule on Dec. 1 at Davidson in a 7 p.m. game. The first league contest in Alumni Gym will be on Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. against Wofford. Elon will play a home-and-home with Southern Conference foes Davidson, Wofford, The Citadel, UNC Greensboro, Appalachian State, Chattanooga, Western Carolina and Georgia Southern. Elon will face two conference teams just once as the Phoenix travels to College of Charleston and hosts Furman.

The Southern Conference Championship will be Feb. 28-March 3 at the North Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, S.C.
