Thursday will mark the eighth meeting all-time between Elon and The Citadel.  The Phoenix won the first five games of the series which began during the 1951-52 season.  The Bulldogs won both meetings last year to move the series to 5-2 in favor of Elon.

In its last outing, the Phoenix dropped a 91-61 decision at Virginia on Dec. 22.  In that game, Elon was led by Monty Sanders' 15-point effort which equalled his career-high.  Ola Atoyebi and Brett James each added 13 markers while Chris Long chipped in 12 points.  Atoyebi also led Elon on the boards, collecting seven caroms.
