ELON, N.C. – The Elon men’s basketball team will travel to New York to battle Hofstra and Yale in the consolation round of the Dick’s Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off Tournament. The games will be played in Hofstra’s Mack Sports Complex in Hempstead, N.Y., on November 23-24.

After winning its season opener at Lipscomb, the Phoenix is coming off back-to-back losses in the opening round of the NIT Season Tip-Off held at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Elon will look get back in the win column when it challenges Hofstra on Monday, November 23 at 7 p.m. The Phoenix and Pride have never met on the hardwood before. Hofstra is 1-2 on the season with both losses coming to nationally ranked teams in No. 1 Kansas and No. 12 Connecticut.

Elon will close out play in the NIT when it goes up against the Yale Bulldogs on Tuesday, November 24 at 4:30 p.m. This will also be the first meeting between Elon and Yale. The Bulldogs are 1-2 on the season, but are coming off a win over Colgate in the second round of the NIT.
