ELON, N.C. -- Elon head men's basketball coach
Matt Matheny has added an Elite Skills Camp to an already full slate of summer boys' basketball camps to be held at Elon University. Matheny and his staff will host two Day Camps and a Team Camp in addition to the Elite Skills Camp. The first of the two Day Camps will be held June 21-24, followed by the second session which will take place June 28-July 1. The Day Camps are for ages 7-18 and run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
"We are excited about the increased enrollment of this year's summer camps," commented Matheny. "We are doubling in size in just a year's time and we will continue to provide a camp environment where teaching fundamentals is the focus."
The Elite Skills Camp will be held on June 18-19 and is open to any and all rising 9th-12th grade boys and focuses on learning advanced skills of the game of basketball. Campers will participate in intense drill sessions, as well as individual and team competitions and games. There will also be a Team Camp for varsity and junior varsity teams comprised of players in grades 8-12.
