BALTIMORE, Md. – Elon University head men's basketball coach Matt Matheny attended Media Day for the Colonial Athletic Association on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Center Club near the Inner Harbor of downtown Baltimore, Md.
 
Along with the league's other nine head coaches, Matheny spoke with media members from many CAA cities stretching from South Carolina to Massachusetts at the league's annual media day.
 
With practice underway and the season in sight, fans can see the Phoenix this Friday night, Oct. 24, at Late Night With the Phoenix. Doors to Alumni Gym open at 8:15 p.m. with the event scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. Following team introductions, both Elon basketball squads will have a short inter-squad scrimmage. Prizes will be given out throughout the evening, including two all-expenses paid trips to the CAA Men's and Women's Basketball Championships. The men's tournament is set for March 6-9 in Baltimore.
