ResultsIndividualsDUNNELLON, Fla. – The Elon University women's golf team earned its third straight top-10 finish today, March 24, after completing the final round of the MSU Ocala Spring Invitational with a three-day total of 906 (+42) to finish seventh out of 18 teams.
South Dakota State took home the team title with a mark of 899 (+35) that was one shot better than Daytona State College (305-291-304–900) and three shots clear of Murray State (301-298-303–902), Western Kentucky (304-297-301–902) and South Alabama (293-315-294–902).
Tiffany Chan of Daytona State College won the individual title after carding a final-round 67 to finish with a three-day total of 211 (-5), which left her three shots ahead of South Dakota State's Sydney MacDonald, who finished alone in second place at 214 (-2).
Kelsey Badmaev was the top finisher for Elon, using a third-round 78, along with rounds of 74 and 71, to finish in a tie for ninth out of 101 players.
Heather Munro and
Emily Brooks finished one shot behind Badmaev with a three-day total of 224 (+8). Munro and Brooks carded identical rounds on all three days, beginning the tournament with rounds of 75 and 74 and closing with a 75.
Hilda Kristjansdottir finished alone in 62
nd at 236 (+20) while
Sunna Vidisdottir finished in a tie for 73
rd with a three-day total of 242 (+26).
Heather Dockrill competed as an individual and completed the tournament alone in 95
th place with a mark of 266 (+50).
