STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. – The Elon University women's golf team used a second-round 307 to improve to eighth out of 15 teams at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate hosted by Georgia State University today, March 30.
 
Emily Brooks carded the best round of the day for the Phoenix, using a 74 (+2) to sit in a tie for 29^th after two rounds. Three other Elon players are knotted with Brooks at 155 (+11).
 
Heather Munro followed her first-round 77 (+5) with a 78 (+6) on her second 18 holes, while Sunna Vidisdottir shot a 79 (+7) in the second round of action.
 
Hilda Kristjansdottir is also in a tie for 29^th after carding a 77 (+5) while Kelsey Badmaev is locked in a tie for 74^th after a second-round 78 (+6) left her with a two-day total of 163 (+19).
 
Competing as an individual for Elon is Kristi Ingram, who used a 78 (+6) to improve to a tie for 70^th at 162 (+18).
 
Middle Tennessee jumped three spots from fourth place to take the lead after 36 holes at 600 (+24) and sits three shots clear of Morehead State heading into the final round.
 
Georgia State's Lauren Court posted the low round of the day, a 69 (-3) that moved her into a tie for the lead at 143 (-1). Knotted with Court is Troy's Fatima Fern Cano, who carded rounds of 72 (E) and 71 (-1).
 
The final round of play will begin tomorrow at 9 a.m. at Eagle's Landing Country Club.
