Former Elon Standout Isenbarger Signs With London Lions of the BBL

LONDON - Former Elon University men's basketball standout guard Jack Isenbarger has signed a deal with the London Lions of the British Basketball League, the team announced on Friday, Aug 4.
 
"I'm very excited to join the London Lions, and I look forward to working hard towards reaching the club's goals this season under Coach Karol's leadership," said Isenbarger. "I am thankful to be part of a great organization and I look forward to returning to compete in the British Basketball League. I plan to put my best foot forward to give our fans, coaches, and organization the results we desire."
 
Prior to joining the Lions, the Zionsville, Ind. native played a full season last year with the Leeds Force in the British Basketball League. Last season, Isenbarger averaged 16.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists, while leading the league making 49 percent of his shots from three-point range.

Before to making the move to England, Isenbarger spent a season playing for del Baloncesto Villa de Mieres (BVM2012) basketball club in Mieres, Asturias, Spain.
 
Isenbarger finished his career with the maroon and gold scoring 1,428 points, good for 13th in Elon men's basketball history. He also ranks second all-time in three-pointers made with 264 and in three-pointers attempted with 721. Isenbarger earned All-Southern Conference laurels twice in his career and was named to the league's all-freshman team as a rookie.
 
Prior to the start of his professional career with BVM2012, Isenbarger spent a summer playing with Athletes in Action in Israel, immediately after graduating from Elon in 2014.
 
He will join the team as the Lions will start pre-season on the Sept. 5 when the team flies to Poland for some tournament games before returning in time for the British Basketball All-Stars event at the O2 Arena on the Sept. 24.
