RICHMOND, Va. – The Colonial Athletic Association announced its preseason poll as voted on by the league's head coaches on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019.
The Phoenix was selected eighth of 10 teams with 28 points. Reigning CAA champion James Madison was tabbed the favorite, earning 81 points and nine first-place votes in the poll. Drexel was 11 points behind it with 70 and one first-place vote, followed by Towson (65), Delaware (59), and UNCW (47) in the top five. Northeastern (40), William & Mary (32), Elon (28), College of Charleston (15), and Hofstra (13) rounded out the poll.
Season tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online, at the Elon Ticket Office box office at Schar Center, or by calling 336-278-6750.
Elon will open its season in the Schar Center on Saturday, Nov. 9 when it takes on Western Carolina at 7:30 p.m.
