ELON, N.C. – Elon University women's basketball takes on Towson in its final game of the regular-season at Schar Center on Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m.

THE MATCHUP
-Towson leads the overall series 7-4.
-Elon won the last meeting between the two teams on Jan. 3, 74-61.
 
LAST TIME OUT
-Elon kept James Madison on its toes until the final possession of the matchup on Thursday, March 5. However, the Phoenix fell in the end, 61-58.
-Three Elon players scored in the double figures. Saadia Munford paced the Phoenix with 16 points, shooting 5-of-11 from the field. Jaylin Powell also made five field goals en route to her 14 points on the night, while Brie Perpignan followed with 10. Jada Graves led the Elon defense with two steals.
-Elon is led by ninth year head coach Charlotte Smith, who led the Phoenix to two consecutive CAA Championship titles in 2017 and 2018.
 
SCOUTING TOWSON
-The Tigers (14-14, 9-8 CAA) comes into the game ranked fourth in conference standings.
-Towson suffered a 66-62 loss to William & Mary on March 5. Nukiya Mayo led the Tigers with 19 points, followed by Kionna Jeter (13). Q. Murray also made history as she recorded her 148th assist of the season to set a new single-season program record.
-The Tigers were picked to finish third in the 2019 CAA Preseason Poll. Jeter and Mayo earned First Team Preseason All-Conference status.
