ELON, N.C.— Elon women's basketball will be back on the road to face Northeastern and Hofstra on Jan. 21 and 23. Tipoff for each game is scheduled for 6 and 1 p.m.

THE MATCHUPS
-Elon leads the overall series against the Huskies, 7-5.
-The Phoenix is on a three-game winning streak against the Pride, owning a 12-3 all-time record.
SCOUTING THE PHOENIX
-The Phoenix (9-4, 1-2 CAA) picked up its first Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) win of the season on Jan. 14 as it delivered a 65-60 victory over College of Charleston.
-
Brie Perpignan led the team in scoring with 22 points in addition to matching her season high in rebounds (8).
-
Kayla Liles posted her first double-double of the season and second of her career, scoring a season-high 17 points and grabbing a career-high 11 rebounds. She also tied her personal best with seven steals in addition to posting five assists and a block. The guard's boards and steals marked a new season best for a maroon and gold player this season.
-The win was the 14th consecutive victory against the Cougars (22-14), a streak dating back to 2012.
-The Phoenix is now 6-0 at home this season, marking the best start at home since the 2017-18 season when the maroon and gold went undefeated at home (13-0).
-The maroon and gold is led by 11
th-year head coach
Charlotte Smith, the winningest coach in program history.
SCOUTING NORTHEASTERN
-Northeastern comes into the weekend with an 8-6 (2-2 CAA) record.
-The Huskies fell to both Drexel and Delaware last weekend on Jan. 14 and 16.
-In their last game against the Blue Hens, Emily Calabrese recorded a team-high 18 points, one short of a career-high, while Kendall Currence followed with 13.
-The Huskies were picked to finish tenth in the CAA preseason poll. Currence was named preseason All-CAA honorable mention.
-Northeastern is led by Bridgette Mitchell.
SCOUTING HOFSTRA
-As on Jan. 20, Hofstra holds a 3-8 (0-3 CAA) record. The Pride will face William & Mary on Jan. 21 prior to facing the Phoenix.
-Hofstra fell to Drexel in its most recent matchup on Jan. 16 (53-72). Jaylen Hines finished the game with a team-high 16 points, including 12 points in the second half, for her seventh double-digit performance of the season. Hines also paced the Pride in rebounds (6) in addition to posting Hofstra's only two steals.
-The Pride was tabbed fifth in the CAA preseason poll. JaKayla Brown was selected to the Preseason All-CAA Second Team.
-The head coach of Hofstra is Danielle Santos Atkinson.
SPECTATOR PROTOCOLS
-Athletic events at Northeastern will be held without spectators until further notice.
