ELON, N.C.-- Elon women's basketball will finish its regular season with a pair of matchups against William & Mary on Thursday, March 3 at 5 p.m. inside Schar Center and on Saturday, March 5 at 2 p.m. in Williamsburg, Va.

THE MATCHUP
-Elon leads the overall series, 10-8.
-The Tribe won the last matchup 74-61, which took place over two years ago on Feb. 28, 2020.

SCOUTING THE PHOENIX
-Elon (15-11, 7-9 CAA) dropped a 72-57 decision at Drexel on Feb. 27. 
-Brie Perpignan paced the maroon and gold in scoring with 16 points, followed by Ajia James with 12. James' points were just one shy of her career high.
-James totaled three shots from deep to match her career high.
-Elon outrebounded Drexel 33-32, marking the first loss for the Phoenix when it had more boards than its opponent.
-The Phoenix's bench outscored the Dragons' bench 28-3.
-The maroon and gold is led by 11^th-year head coach Charlotte Smith, the winningest coach in program history.

SCOUTING WILLIAM & MARY
-William & Mary is 10-17 (5-11 CAA) on the season.
-The Tribe fell to both Drexel (43-63) and Delaware (45-67) last week on Feb. 25 & 27.
-In William & Mary's most recent matchup against the Blue Hens, Riley Casey totaled 10 points, while Dani McTeer and Ava Stevenson chipped in seven each.
-William & Mary enters Thursday's contest leading the conference in both percentage from deep (.324) and free throw percentage (.763).
-The Tribe was picked to finish eighth in the CAA preseason poll. Sydney Wagner was named a preseason second-team selection.
-The head coach of William & Mary is Ed Swanson.
