ELON, N.C. – The Elon University women's basketball team (9-17,5-8) will travel to William & Mary (12-11, 8-4) on Friday night, Feb. 23 for a 7p.m. contest against the Tribe. The Phoenix will then return home to host Triad rival North Carolina A&T (16-8, 10-3) in Schar Center at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25.

SERIES HISTORY VS. CAMPBELL, WILLIAM & MARY
- Elon and William & Mary will meet for the 24th time overall in the all-time series with Elon holding a slight 12-11 advantage over the Tribe.
- The Phoenix fell to the Tribe earlier this season 62-43 in Schar Center on Jan. 14. Iycez Adams led the Phoenix with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
- Elon leads the all-time series against North Caroline A&T 14-10 while holding an 8-2 edge when hosting the Aggies.
- The Phoenix lost their first meeting with North Carolina A&T this season 56-42 in Corbett Sports Center. Ajia James led the team scoring nine points while Maya Johnson led on the glass with 11 boards.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Phoenix split in CAA play last weekend defeating Northeastern 53-37 before falling to Stony Brook 61-32.
- At Northeastern, Ruby Willard had a career-night scoring 15 points going 5-for-8 from the three-point line while tying her career-high in rebounds with six.
- Northeastern's 37 points were the fewest points Elon has allowed since their 2019 opening game against Western Carolina.
- The Phoenix outnumbered the Huskies in rebounds (41-34) and assists (13-12).
- In Sunday's matchup against Stony Brook Maya Johnson led the team scoring eight points followed by Hannah Dereje with seven.
- Ajia James grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds, her second consecutive game leading Elon.
- Dereje recorded career-highs in rebounds with 10 and two steals against the Seawolves.
- Elon held the Seawolves to their lowest points scored in league play at 61.
SCOUTING WILLIAM & MARY
- William & Mary are 12-11 overall and 8-4 in CAA play coming into the weekend after falling to Campbell 57-46 in Buies Creek, N.C.
- The Tribe have fallen to North Carolina A&T, Towson, Monmouth and Campbell this season.
- Last season, William & Mary went 18-13 while going 12-6 in conference to finish fourth in the CAA.
- This season, the Tribe were selected to finish ninth in the 2023-24 CAA Preseason Poll.
- Graduate forward Nylah Young was named to the 2023-24 Preseason All-CAA Second Team. Young is averaging a team-high 14.6 points per game and 5.0 boards per game. Her 14.6 points per game ranks No. 7 in the league.
- Bella Nascimento also averages double-figure points at 12.5 ranking 14th in the league so far this season. She also leads the team in assists (53) and assists per game (2.3).
- Cassidy Geddes leads the Tribe in steals per game at 1.8 while Kayla Beckwith leads in blocks with 14 this season. Beckwith also tied Young with a team-best 5.0 rebounds per game.
- William & Mary is led by Erin Dickerson Davis who is in her second season. Last season, Davis led the Tribe to 18 wins, the most by a first-year head coach in program history.
SCOUTING NORTH CAROLINA A&T
- North Carolina A&T split in their most recent CAA weekend. The Aggies defeated Hampton 73-58 before falling 80-76 to Monmouth in double-overtime on Sunday, Feb. 18.
- North Carolina A&T is 16-8 overall and 10-3 in conference play with their only setbacks coming against Charleston twice and Monmouth.
- Last season, the Aggies went 18-12 and 12-6 in league play finishing fifth in the CAA.
- North Carolina A&T was picked to finish eighth in the 2023-24 CAA Preseason Poll with Maleia Bracone named to the CAA Preseason Second Team.
- Three Aggies players are averaging double figures led by junior guard Jordyn Dorsey with 13.8 points per game. Bracone is averaging 12.0 points per game followed by D'Mya Tucker with 11.4. All three players are shooting over 36 percent from the field and rank within the top 25 in the CAA in scoring.
- Chaniya Clark leads the Aggies and ranks fourth in the league on the glass averaging 7.6 boards per game. Clark also paces North Carolina A&T in blocked shots averaging 1.1 per game.
- Dorsey has a team-high 81 assists averaging 3.4 per game while Bracone leads in steals, ranking second the conference with 2.4 steals per game.
- Tarrell Robinson is in his 12th season at the helm of the Aggies program. Robinson has been around North Carolina A&T athletics since playing four seasons on the men's basketball team. Following his playing years, Robinson served as a graduate assistant for the men's team before becoming an assistant coach on the women's side followed by an associate head coach role. Since becoming the head coach at North Carolina A&T, Robinson has become the program's all-time winningest coach.
