AUBURN, AL. – The Elon University men's golf team finished tied for the lead in the field after round one of the Tiger Invitational with a 298 (+10). The teams started round two but were unable to finish therefore the teams will pick up where they left off with a shotgun start tomorrow morning. No. 1 Auburn is hosting the tournament at the par-72, 7,591-yard Auburn University Club in Auburn, AL.

HIGHLIGHTS
- After round one, Garrett Risner was tied for the lead of individuals with a 1-under par 71. The junior carded three birdies to offset two bogeys and is now currently leading the team in par-5 scoring average (4.86) and birdies (4) after completing half of his second round.
- Jack Wieler and Matthew Doyle tied for 17th in the field after round one each carding a 75 (+3). Wieler is pacing the Phoenix in par-4 scoring average at 4.11 while Matthew Doyle carded a team-best 26 pars so far.
- Bronson Myers was tied for 35th place on the individual leaderboard after round one shoot a five-over par 77. Myers is currently sharing the team lead in par-3 scoring average at 3.00.
- Juan Callejo Ropero shot a 7-over par 79 in his opening round to tie for 54th place. He is tied with Myers for a team-best par-3 scoring average while also carding 11 pars in the first round.
