SNOW HILL, N.C. – As an individual, Jennings Glenn leads the Phoenix and is tied for third place with a 2-under par 70 following day one at the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate. Elon is co-hosting the tournament alongside East Carolina at the par-72, 7,147-yard Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, N.C.

As a team, Elon sits tied for third place at 291 (+3) East Carolina is leading with a 4-under par 284.

HIGHLIGHTS 

• As an individual, Jennings Glenn fired an opening round of 70 carding five birdies to offset three bogeys to lead the Phoenix tied for third place. He also leads the team in par-3 scoring average at 2.75.
• Competing as an individual, Pedro Rabadan is in a tie for sixth place in the individual standings after carding a 71 (-1) in the first round. Rabadan carded three birdies and no bogeys on his front nine while adding 13 pars.
• Jack Wieler and Matthew Doyle are also tied for sixth place after shooting a 1-under par 71 that included three birdies and 13 pars. Wieler leads the team in par-4 scoring average with a 3.80. Doyle leads the field in pars with 15 while carded two birdies with no bogeys on the back nine.
• Juan Callejo Ropero is tied for 14^th place in the individual standings with an even-par 72. Ropero has a team-best par-5 scoring average at (4.25) while carding three birdies and no bogeys in his back nine.  
• Bronson Myers shot a five-over par 77 in the opening round to tie for 75th place.
• Garrett Risner and Oliver Rotermund are tied for 75th place with a 7-over par 79 while Timmy Gannon carded an 80 (+8) and is tied for 82nd place.
• As a team, Elon is leading the field in pars (66) and is second in the field in par-4 scoring average (4.18).

• Tomorrow's second round will begin tomorrow with tee times starting at 8 a.m.
