SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Elon University men's golf team finished runner-up at the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate after carding a 10-under par 278 in the final round. Freshman Jack Wieler was Elon's top finisher in third place with a 7-under par 209. Elon is co-hosted the tournament alongside East Carolina at the par-72, 7,147-yard Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, N.C.

As a team, the Phoenix finished second with a 54-hole total of 842 (-22) just two strokes behind tournament winner East Carolina who shot a 24-under par 840.
 
HIGHLIGHTS 

• Jack Wieler fired an even-par 72 in the final round to finish in solo third place with a 54-hole total of 209 (-7). The freshman led the team in par-4 scoring (3.93) and par-5 scoring (4.58) while also adding 13 total birdies.
• Garrett Risner finished in a tie for 10^th place after carding a 68 (-4) in his final round. Risner carded six birdies to offset two bogeys to tie for the lead in field in birdies with 15 and was second on the team in par-4 scoring (3.97).
• Juan Callejo Ropero shot an even-par 72 in his final round to finish tied for 13th place. He finished second in the team in par-5 scoring average (4.50). 
• Matthew Doyle carded a 1-under par 71 in the final round to finish tied for 18th place. Doyle led the team in pars (36) and tied for second on the team in par-3 scoring (3.00).
• As an individual, Pedro Rabadan carded five birdies in his final round to finish tied for 24^th place with a 54-hole total of 217 (+1). Rabadan tied for second on the team in total birdies with 12.
• Bronson Myers carded another round of 71 (-1) in the final round to move into a tie for 33rd place. Myers carded two birdies and no bogeys on the back nine to end with a 54-hole total of 219 (+3). He led the team and tied for second in the field in par-3 scoring average (2.83).
• As an individual, Jennings Glenn carded a 75 (+3) in his final round to finish tied for 33^rd place with a 3-over par 219. He finished tied for second on the team in par-3 scoring (3.00).
• Timmy Gannon matched his career-best round with a 68 (-4) in the final round to move up 29 spots on the individual leaderboard to tie for 50th place. Gannon carded four birdies and no bogeys on his front nine and added two more birdies to offset two bogeys on the back nine.
• Competing as an individual, Oliver Rotermund shot his lowest round of the tournament with a 1-under par 71 to advance 13 spots in the individual standings to finish tied for 62nd place. Rotermund carded four birdies to offset three bogeys in the final round.
• As a team, Elon led the field in birdies (69) and finished second in the field in par-4 scoring (4.06) and par-5 scoring (4.67).

• The Phoenix heads to Dataw Island South Carolina on April 21-23 to compete at the CAA Championship.
