RICHMOND, Va. – Elon University men's golfer Jack Wieler has been named the CAA Men's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon, April 3.   
 
Wieler finished in third place in a field of 100 players at this week's Cutter Creek Intercollegiate at the Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, N.C. The freshman from Waxhaw, N.C., carded three rounds of par or better including a season-low round of 66 (-6) in the second round firing six birdies and an eagle. Wieler shot an even-par in his final round to finish with a 54-hole total of 209 (-7) and led the team in par-4 scoring (3.93) and par-5 scoring (4.58) while also adding 13 total birdies.

This is Wieler's first career CAA honor and second by an Elon men's golfer this spring. Elon will next compete at the CAA Championship in Dataw Island, S.C. on April 21-23.
