MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.– Jack Wieler shared the individual title at the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate after he carded a 54-hole total of 9-under par 207. Coastal Carolina hosted the tournament at the 7,587-yard, par-72 Grand Dunes Golf Club.

The team shot a 4-under par 284 in their final round to finish fifth with a 54-hole total of 853 (-11). Santa Clara won the tournament with an 843 (-21) while Campbell finished second at 846 (-18).

HIGHLIGHTS  

• Jack Wieler was Elon's top finisher after carding a 2-under par 70 in his final round to finish tied for individual win. Wieler finished with a 54-hole total of 207 (-9), led the field in par-4 scoring average (3.73) and finished second in the field in birdies (16).
• Garrett Risner shot an even-par 72 in his final round to finish tied for sixth place. He carded three birdies on the day and paced the team in par-3 scoring average at 2.83.
• Landon Durham shot his best round score in the final round with a 1-under par 72 to finish tied for 32nd place. He led the team in pars with 35.
• Matthew Doyle moved up five spots on the individual leaderboard to tie for 45th place after carding a 72 (E) in his final round. Doyle had four birdies on the day and led the team in par-5 scoring average (4.50).
• Bronson Myers shot his low round of the tournament with a 71 (-1) to move up nine spots on in the individual leaderboard and tied for 69th place.
• As an individual, Bizzell Pate tied for 77th place with a 54-hole total of 231 (+15).
• As a team, Elon finished tied for second in the field in par-4 scoring average with a 4.03.

UP NEXT 

• The Phoenix head to Galway, Ireland for the Lyon Links on Wednesday, Sept. 18., for a three-day tournament at the Royal Dublin Golf Course.
