AWENDAW, S.C. – Garrett Risner led the Phoenix with seven birdies in round two of the Hootie at Bull's Bay as the team sits in sixth place.

Elon carded a 2-under par 286 in the second round and holds solo sixth place. Purdue continues to lead the field with a 36-hole total of 553 (-23).

HIGHLIGHTS  

• Matthew Doyle is tied for third after shooting a 71 (-1) in round two. Doyle carded three birdies, including a bogey-free front nine.
• Garrett Risner posted a strong 69 (-3) in his second round, which included a team-high seven birdies. Risner is tied for seventh place after jumping nine spots on the individual leaderboard.
• Landon Durham carded a 1-under-par 71 in round two, which included three birdies, moving up a team-best 18 spots on the individual leaderboard to sit tied for 37th place.
• Jack Wieler is tied for 74th place after another round of 75 (+3).
• Bronson Myers is tied for 76th place after a 77 in round two, which included two birdies.
