AWENDAW, S.C. – The Elon University men's golf team finished seventh at the Hootie at Bull's Bay on Tuesday, March 25, with a 17-under-par 846.

The team was led by Matthew Doyle, who posted his first top-10 finish of the spring. The Phoenix recorded their tournament-low round in the final round with a 280 (-8). Purdue and South Carolina shared the title with an 834 (-30).

HIGHLIGHTS  

• Matthew Doyle was Elon's top finisher, tying for ninth place with an 8-under-par 208. He carded a 71 (-1) in his final round, which included three birdies.
• Garrett Risner tied for 13th place after shooting a 2-under-par 70 in his final round, which featured a team-high five birdies.
• Landon Durham posted his lowest round of the tournament with a 69 (-3), moving up 10 spots on the leaderboard to tie for 27th place with a 54-hole total of 213 (-3).
• Jack Wieler climbed 10 spots on the leaderboard with a 2-under-par 70 in his final round, which included four birdies, to tie for 64th place.
• Bronson Myers finished in 81st place with a 54-hole total of 228 (+12).
