Men’s Golf Travels To Compete At Maridoe Intercollegiate

ELON, N.C. – The Elon men's golf team travels to Carrollton, Texas, on March 31–April 1 for the Maridoe Intercollegiate at Maridoe Golf Club.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

Teams will play 36 holes on Monday, followed by the final round on Tuesday. Monday's first round begins with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start, with the second round immediately following.
Tuesday's final round also features an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
The field includes Alabama, Arizona State, Baylor, Boston College, Louisiana Monroe, Louisiana Tech, North Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Sam Houston, Texas Rio Grande Valley, and UNCG.

ELON LINEUP

LAST TIME OUT

Elon finished seventh at the Hootie at Bull's Bay, posting an 8-under-par 280 in the final round.
Matthew Doyle led the Phoenix, tying for ninth place at 8-under 208. He shot a team-low 66 in the first round with seven birdies, followed by consecutive rounds of 71.
Garrett Risner also recorded three rounds of par or better, tying for 13th. He opened with a 70, fired a 69 in round two with seven birdies, and closed with a 70.
Landon Durham shot his best round of the tournament with a 3-under 69 in the final round, moving up 10 spots to finish tied for 27th at 213 (-3).
Jack Wieler also climbed 10 spots after a final-round 70 (-2) with four birdies, finishing tied for 64th.
Bronson Myers placed 81st with a 54-hole total of 228 (+12).

The Phoenix wraps up its regular season at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate in Chapel Hill, N.C., on April 12–13.
