Richmond, Va. – Elon University freshman Lillian Austin has been named the CAA Rookie of the Week after helping the Phoenix lacrosse team to a 13-10 conference victory over Campbell Saturday.
 
Austin produced her first career hat trick, scoring three goals as Elon won its seventh straight conference game dating back to last year. Austin entered the game with just five goals through the first nine games of the season, but scored a goal in each of the final three quarters as Elon built an 8-1 lead and then held off the Camels' fourth-quarter rally.
 
With the win, Elon improved to 6-4 on the season and 3-0 in CAA play. Austin is the second Elon player to be named CAA Rookie of the Week in as many weeks as Danielle Swietoniowski earned the honor seven days ago. The Phoenix will look to remain one of three CAA unbeaten teams Friday as the team plays at Delaware at 1:00 p.m.
