ELON – The Elon women's track & field team will spend the next two days inside state lines competing at the Charlotte Invitational, hosted at Irwin Belk Track & Field Center. Elon's slate of events begins at 2:30 p.m. ET Friday with the triple jump and the hammer throw, while Saturday will see the Phoenix compete in 12 total events between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET.

ELITE UNDER ELLISTON
Elon Director of Track & Field and Cross Country
Mark Elliston is in his 20th season at the helm of the Phoenix. Under his guidance, Elon has captured a combined eight CAA titles in indoor and outdoor track & field, along with four runner-up finishes. A six-time CAA Women's Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year, Elliston and his staff led the Phoenix to the 2025 CAA outdoor title – the program's fourth in the past five seasons – and saw 10 athletes collect All-CAA accolades.

Elon will compete three straight days next week, spending two days at the Aggie Classic in Greensboro (May 1-2) before gearing up for the Duke Twilight on May 3 in Durham.
