ELON – The Elon women's soccer team (6-1-2, 1-0-0 CAA) closes out its four-match homestand this week with a pair of conference fixtures at Rudd Field against Stony Brook (4-0-4, 1-0-0 CAA) on Thursday and Hofstra (2-5-2, 1-0-0 CAA) on Sunday.

• Thursday's match against Stony Brook will be available to stream free on the FloSports Channel on Prime Video as part of a new distribution agreement between FloSports and Prime Video. A FloCollege subscription is not required to watch the game on the FloSports Channel. The contest will also be available through FloCollege as part of the CAA's full live broadcast schedule.

 
Inside The Matchups

• Thursday will be the sixth all-time meeting between the Phoenix and Seawolves. Stony Brook holds a 3-1-1 advantage in the series.
• This will be the first meeting between Elon and Stony Brook since they met in November's CAA championship match. The contest ended in a 1-1 draw with the Phoenix securing the conference crown after winning a penalty shootout.
• This will be the fifth meeting between Elon and Stony Brook in the last three seasons. The teams met in both the regular season and CAA Tournament in 2024 and 2025.
• Elon defeated Stony Brook the last time the teams met at Rudd in 2024. The Phoenix won 2-0 behind goals from Lydia Totten and Kennedy Jones and a shutout in goal from Katie Bisgrove.
• The Pheonix is 3-8-1 against the Pride, with the lone tie coming last season at Hofstra. Gabby Hoschek scored in the final minute to make the final score 2-2.
• Elon has won its last two home meetings against Hofstra, the most recent of which came in 2024 when Ashlee Brehio scored the game-winning goal in the 72nd minute of a 2-1 victory.
• All three of Elon's victories in the series have come in the last five matchups between the teams.

 
Storylines To Follow

• Red-Hot Offense: Elon scored 24 goals in nonconference play, the most nonconference goals for the Phoenix since 2019. Through nine matches this season, Elon ranks top 15 nationally in goals (26), assists (29) and points (81). The Phoenix has scored multiple goals in seven of its nine contests, including six goals in a road win against South Carolina State on Aug. 20 and five at VMI on Sept. 3.
• Balanced Attack: Elon's 26 goals this season have come from 15 different goal scorers. Additionally, of the 22 field players to log minutes for Elon this season, 18 have notched at least one point.
• Hats Off For Isa: Isa Murdock leads all CAA scorers with 16 points this season and is tied for the conference lead in goals (6) and tied for third in assists (4). Murdock became the first Phoenix to score a hat trick since 2023 earlier this season with three goals against VMI. She was named CAA Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 7.
• First-Time Goal Scorers: Six different Elon players have scored their first career goal this season – Maya Abousaab (2), Nicole Kleyner (2), Hannah Carlson, Isabel DiPrima, Jessica Hill and Emerson Rogers. Gabby Tirado's two goals this season were also her first with the Phoenix after transferring to Elon from Marist.
• The Great Gabby: Tirado is second on the Phoenix with eight points this season in her debut Elon campaign. The junior is tied for the second on the team with four assists and has contributed points in six of nine matches this season.
• Helping Hand: Talia Feigin became the first Elon player to notch three assists in a match since 2023 with a trio of second-half helpers on Sept. 3 at VMI. Feigin is tied with Grace Gelhaus for a conference-best five assists on the campaign.  
• GG: Gelhaus, the reigning CAA Defensive Player of the Year, has seven points this season with one goal and five assists, tied with Feigin for the most helpers in the CAA. Gelhaus has at least one assist in four of her last five appearances.  
• Person Of Interest: Naomi Person has started eight of Elon's nine matches in goal this season, the first starts of her college career. She has contributed to three shutouts alongside Anica Carpenter and added her first career solo shutout Sunday night against Campbell.
• Shutout Streak: The Phoenix is yet to concede a goal in the month of September and rides a four-match shutout streak into this week, having not conceded a goal since Aug. 30 against High Point. Elon has gone over 385 minutes of game action without conceding a goal.
• Home Sweet Home: Elon is unbeaten in its last 12 fixtures at Rudd Field, a streak that began with last year's season opener. The Phoenix is 9-0-3 in that stretch, which includes a 3-0-2 mark in CAA home matches and a 4-0-0 ledger this season.
• Rookies Of The Week: Elon swept the first two CAA Rookie of the Week awards this season, with Kleyner winning it on Aug. 17 before Carlson made it back-to-back for the Phoenix by earning the honor on Aug. 24.  
• Let's Go, Dan: Elon's captain Jordan Green is having a career-best scoring season. The senior recently had a three-point outing against Charleston Southern that featured her second goal of the campaign.
• CAA Championship Rematch: Elon and Stony Brook met last season for the CAA championship, with the Phoenix winning the title on penalty kicks. Murdock scored Elon's goal in the second half before an own goal by the Phoenix in the final minute of regulation sent the game to extra time. Elon made its final six penalty attempts in the shootout to win the conference title.
• All-CAA Honorees: The Phoenix was picked to finish first in the CAA South Division preseason poll. Additionally, Gelhaus, Murdock, Bisgrove and Ava Hellner were all named to the preseason all-conference team. 

 
Last Time Out

• Elon opened CAA play Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Campbell at Rudd.
• The match was scoreless at halftime before Megan Dwyer and Jess Beck tallied second-half goals. Dwyer became Elon's 15th different scorer this season with her third career goal, all of which have come in CAA matches.
• Feigin, Gelhaus and Tirado all notched assists on the Elon goals.
• Elon outshot Campbell on the night, 10-6. Gelhaus and Murdock paced the Phoenix with two shot attempts apiece.
• Alexis Pierce and Jessica Hill both went the full 90 minutes on Elon's back line, with Dwyer playing 87 minutes. In total, 18 different Phoenix saw action.
• Person stopped four Campbell shots for the first solo shutout of her career, extending Elon's streak of clean sheets to four straight matches.
• The win gave Elon its first three points in the CAA South Division standings.

 
Defending Champions

• Elon won its second CAA title last fall and its first since the spring 2021 season.
• The Phoenix finished third in the South Division and clinched a CAA Tournament berth with a tie against College of Charleston on the last day of the regular season. Elon rode a six-match unbeaten streak into the postseason.
• Elon started its tournament with a 1-0 road win over William & Mary behind an Ashlee Brehio goal. In the semifinals, the Phoenix eliminated UNCW, the South's top seed, on the road via a penalty shootout following a scoreless draw to advance to the championship match.
• In the CAA final, Elon upended Stony Brook on the road in penalty kicks after a 1-1 decision on Long Island. Bisgrove made 10 saves in the contest to finish Elon's championship run with 28 stops.
• The Phoenix led the CAA last season in goal differential, goals against average, save percentage and shutout percentage. Elon allowed just 16 goals in 21 matches, conceding just 11 times in conference play.
• Elon also had a top-three scoring offense in the conference, netting 1.78 goals per match in CAA play.

 
Scouting Stony Brook

• Stony Brook is still unbeaten this season, entering Thursday with a 4-0-4 record.
• The Seawolves defeated preseason CAA North Division favorite Monmouth 1-0 on Sunday in its conference opener. Emanuelly Ferreira scored the lone goal of the contest.
• Emily Lemke is tied with Murdock for a conference-best six goals on the season, with her 13 points second to only Murdock. Lemke scored a brace against Harvard on Aug. 20.
• Four more Seawolves have a pair of goals on the campaign – Ferreira, Hedvig Helling, Leah Rifas and Allison George.
• Helling, Juni Einarsson, Eva Sprewell and Maya Corbett have two assists apiece to pace the Seawolves.
• Sprewell and Lisa Muller have played all 720 minutes this season for the Seawolves on the back line.
• In goal, Jona Hennings has started all eight matches for Stony Brook, making 37 saves with a .841 save percentage. She was named CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after her four-save shutout against Monmouth.
• Tobias Bischof is in his seventh season as Stony Brook's head coach.

 
Scouting Hofstra

• Hofstra enters the week with a 2-5-2 record. The Pride will face Campbell on Thursday night before traveling to Elon.
• The Pride won its CAA opener against Towson over the weekend, defeating the Tigers 2-1. All three goals came in the first half, with Amy Meadows netting the game-winning tally on a penalty kick.
• Hofstra has scored just nine goals this season in its nine matches and has a minus-five goal differential on the campaign.
• Meadows is pacing the Pride in both points (9) and goals (4). Emma Johnson is close behind with seven points and three goals. They are the only two Hofstra scorers with more than two points this season.
• Johnson has played all 810 minutes in the field this season for Hofstra. Marika Svensson (804) and Alexia Des Croisselles (801) have also logged over 800 minutes.
• Lilly Bailey has started all nine matches in goal for the Pride this season. She has made 22 saves with a .611 save percentage.
• Hofstra is led by 21st year head coach Simon Riddiough.
