ELON COLLEGE, NC -- Andrew Toole scored a season-high 21 points to lead host Elon (1-2) to a 90-68 men's college basketball victory over Bridgewater (2-1) on Wednesday night.

Elon, which led 48-43 at halftime, used a 19-4 run at the start of the second half to stretch its lead to 69-47 with 12:35 to go in the game. The Eagles never got closer than 15 points the rest of the night.

Clint Walker added 17 points and eight rebounds for the Fightin' Christians, while Dennis Gaskins posted a career-high 10 assists during a 10-point night.

Bridgewater was led by 20 points from Brad Harrington and 13 points from Jermaine Reed. Kyle Williford also had 10 points and a game-high seven rebounds for the Eagles.

Elon returns to action on Friday at the University of Albany (NY).
