ELON, N.C. – Participating in the North Carolina East-West All-Star girls’ basketball game, incoming women’s basketball player Kelsey Harris helped the West to a 62-55 win over the East on Monday at the Greensboro Coliseum.
With the score tied 53-53 with just under four minutes to play, Harris pulled down a rebound and turned a three-point play after getting fouled on a made basket that sent the West on a 9-2 run to end the game.
The guard and Gastonia, N.C. native finished the game with 10 points and was one rebound short of a double-double. She also registered four steals and did not leave the game in the closing period.
Harris, rated the 64th-best shooting guard in the nation, is part of a three-member incoming class that tops the Southern Conference.
