SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Elon senior point guard Aiesha Harper has been named the Southern Conference’s Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played February 14-20, the league office announced today.
 
Harper helped lead the Phoenix to a pair of wins on the road last week at Georgia Southern and College of Charleston. Harper posted a career-high 21 points in Elon’s 83-53 win at Georgia Southern. She also dished out four assists while picking up four steals and finishing 3-of-4 from the charity stripe.
 
The Pottstown, Pa., native recorded a game-high 16 points Monday night in a 63-50 win over the Cougars. Harper also grabbed six rebounds, went 6-of-7 from the line and went 2-of-2 from long range.
 
The league’s assist-to-turnover ratio leader, Harper turned the ball over just once in two games against GSU and CofC.
