Friday, Aug. 12
 
We take off for Italy in two days and I haven't packed a thing. I'm starting to realize there is no way to completely feel prepared for these types of trips.
 
Today was also our final day of class before we step onto the plane and fly to a new land of opportunities and possibilities. These days I'm feeling really fortunate to be granted such a great opportunity to become more cultured and experience new things with my teammates, who are also my family.
 
I'm a little nervous and not looking forward to an eight-hour plane ride, but I'm extremely thankful to Elon and I understand that this is a one in a lifetime opportunity. Playing the sport I love has always had a way of opening up so many doors for me and I'm forever in debt to the game of basketball.
