SCOUTING THE PHOENIX
-Elon concluded its nonconference schedule with an 8-2 record, including a 77-65 win over Gardner-Webb on Dec. 20 in its final game of the calendar year.

Brie Perpignan finished the night with 18 points and a career-high 12 assists for her third career double-double and second of the season. The guard also had a new personal best in steals (6).

Kayla Liles pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds, while
Maya Johnson followed with six.
Tyja Traore and
Ariana Nance also grabbed five boards apiece.

Kellyn Trowse made her first appearance of the season, scoring her first field goal in the final minute of the game.

-Collectively, the Phoenix set season highs in points (77) and field goals made (31).
-For her performance against the Runnin' Bulldogs, Perpignan was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week. She's the first Elon player to earn the honor since the 2017-18 season.

SCOUTING TOWSON
-The Tigers (9-1) will be facing the Phoenix in their first game since Dec. 11 when they defeated American 79-61 for their sixth win in a row.
-Against the Eagles, Allie Kubek led Towson in scoring with 18 points. Anissa Rivera also earned her third double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
-The Tigers entered the matchup against the Eagles ranked No. 21 in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 Poll.
-Towson's 9-1 start is the best since they started their 2006-07 campaign with a 10-1 record.
-The Tigers were picked to finish fourth in the CAA preseason poll. Aleah Nelson was named second team preseason all-conference, while Rayne Tucker and Rivera both earned honorable mentions.
-Towson is led by Diane Richardson.
SCOUTING JAMES MADISON
-As of Jan. 6, James Madison is 4-7 on the season. JMU will face William & Mary on Friday, Jan. 7 prior to facing the Phoenix.
-The Dukes snapped a five-game losing streak in its last game against George Mason on Dec. 20 (69-61). Kiki Jefferson led the JMU scoring with 21 points and 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Claire Neff also added a season-high 18 points, while Jaylin Carodine paced all players in rebounds (14).
-JMU was predicted to finish third in the CAA preseason poll. Jefferson and Peyton McDaniel were tabbed preseason first and second-team selections.
-The head coach of JMU is Sean O'Regan.
