RICHMOND, Va. – The Colonial Athletic Association and the Elon University women's basketball team announced its 2022-23 league schedule on Tuesday morning, Aug. 16.

Teams will play an 18-game conference slate against all 12 league foes that features six repeat opponents, three home-only opponents and three away-only opponents. It will be the first time since the 2012-13 season that the league has not played a full double round-robin schedule. In total, each team will play nine home games and nine road games.
 
The Phoenix begins the CAA portion of its schedule at new league member and fellow Piedmont Triad rival North Carolina A&T on Dec. 30. A few days later at the start of the new calendar year, Elon hosts Hampton for its CAA home opener on Jan. 1.
 
Elon will embark on a two-game road swing at Hofstra (Jan. 6) and at Monmouth (Jan. 8) before hosting Delaware on Jan. 13 and Northeastern on Jan. 15. The Phoenix is back on the road at in-state foe UNCW on Jan. 20 and returns back to Schar Center to host CAA newcomer Stony Brook on Jan. 22.
 
The maroon and gold end the month of January with road contests at Delaware (Jan. 27) and at Drexel (Jan. 29). Elon begins the second half of its league slate hosting N.C. A&T on Feb. 3 followed by a visit to College of Charleston on Feb. 5.
 
A home contest versus William & Mary on Feb. 10 is next on the docket for the Phoenix to begin a three-game homestand. Elon will also host Monmouth (Feb. 17) and Charleston (Feb. 19) before facing the Tribe in a rematch in Williamsburg, Va., on Feb. 24. The Phoenix rounds out the 2022-23 CAA slate with a home game versus UNCW on March 2 before closing out at Towson on March 4.
 
The 2022-23 CAA Women's Basketball Championships will take place on March 8-12 at SECU Arena at Towson.
