RICHMOND, Va. – Senior forward Iycez Adams was selected to the Preseason All-CAA Second Team while redshirt sophomore guard Raven Preston earned Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention honors, as announced today by the Coastal Athletic Association.
 
Adams averaged a team-best 10.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. She tied for second in the league last season in blocks per game and was third in the conference in total blocked shots (49). The Greensboro, N.C. native recorded five double-double performances last year, including three straight from Jan. 14-21, 2024.
 
Preston missed last season due to injury after being named CAA Rookie of the Year in the 2022-23 campaign. As a freshman, she averaged 11.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
 
Along with the all-conference teams, the CAA also announced the preseason predicted order to finish on Thursday. Elon placed seventh in the voting with 86 points. North Carolina A&T was picked to win the league with 11 of 14 votes while reigning CAA tournament Champions Drexel were picked second with two first-place votes.
 
Elon will open the 2024-25 season on Nov. 4 at home against High Point. The Phoenix's slate also features an additional 13 home games in Schar Center and road Power 4 matchups against USC and Virginia Tech.
