ELON – The Elon women's basketball team returns to CAA action this week, hosting Triad rival North Carolina A&T on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Schar Center, before traveling to Hampton for the teams' second matchup of the season on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Convocation Center in Hampton, Virginia.
Friday's home matchup against North Carolina A&T will be televised on WRAL-TV in addition to streaming on FloCollege, marking the second time Phoenix basketball – and first time Elon women's basketball – airs on local broadcast television. Fans can watch via Spectrum (Channel 1255), DIRECTV (Channel 80), DISH Network (Channel 253) or antenna (Channel 5.2).

- Series record: Elon leads, 15-12
- The Phoenix have won one of their last four meetings with the Aggies, including their most recent 70-69 victory last season on February 2, 2025.
- North Carolina A&T (7-9, 2-3 CAA) is coming off a 70-57 win over Hampton last weekend.
- Three Aggies players are averaging double-figure points: Chaniya Clark (11.5), D'Mya Tucker (11.3), and Paris Locke (10.5).
- Clark is also averaging a team-best 7.0 rebounds, ranking seventh in the CAA.
- As a team, North Carolina A&T is third in the conference, averaging 40.0 rebounds per game.
vs. HAMPTON
- Series record: Elon leads, 5-2
- The Phoenix have won three straight against the Pirates, most recently defeating them at home 84-75 this season.
- Hampton is 8-9 overall this season, and 2-3 in CAA play, most recently defeating William & Mary 59-49, before falling to North Carolina A&T 70-57.
- The Pirates are led in scoring by transfer Kayla Lezama, who also ranks third in the conference with 14.5 PPG.
- Le'Asia Foreman ranks fifth in the conference, leading the team with 7.6 rebounds per game, while Aaryn Battle leads the team in both assists per game (4.2) and steals per game (2.1).

1. Split Weekend Down South
Elon split its road games last weekend, opening with a 72-62 win at UNCW before falling 87-64 at Charleston. Against the Seahawks,
Ashanti Fox scored a season-high 17 points off the bench, knocking down a season-best five three-pointers, while
Tyana Walker (15) and
Laila Anderson (13) also reached double figures. The Phoenix recorded their second-highest offensive rebounding total of the season with 20 boards and forced 18 turnovers. On Sunday, Anderson led Elon with a season-high 21 points, while Walker paced the team in rebounds for the second straight game with seven.
2. Fox Brings the Spark
Ashanti Fox was named CAA Rookie of the Week on Monday after averaging 13.0 points and 3.5 assists per game during a 1-1 weekend. The Vass, North Carolina, native scored a season-high 17 points at UNCW, knocking down a season-best five three-pointers. She nearly reached double figures again with nine points at the College of Charleston, while also leading the team for the ninth time this season with four assists. Fox ranks second on the team in assists at 2.6 per game, which ranks 14th in the CAA, and is shooting a team-best 36.2 percent (21-for-58) from three-point range.
3. Ranked and Rising
Elon has been one of the most statistically impactful teams in the conference, driven by its depth and defensive pressure. The Phoenix average 29.9 points per game off the bench, ranking first in the CAA and 10th nationally, with
Ashanti Fox leading the reserves at 8.4 points per game. Elon's defensive intensity has translated into takeaways, as the Phoenix force 20.59 turnovers per game, ranking first in the CAA and 42nd nationally. Elon has also been effective in generating steals, ranking second in the CAA and 92nd nationally at 9.8 steals per game. Additionally, the Phoenix have led the offensive glass in 12 of 17 games this season and rank third in the league with 14.2 offensive rebounds per game.
4. Corbett In Control
Sophomore forward
LaNae' Corbett has emerged as Elon's most productive scorer in her first season with the Phoenix, ranking 11
th in the CAA at 12.3 points per game. A transfer from Hofstra, Corbett is the team's most effective shooter at 50.9%, ranking third in the league, and 70
th in the nation. She is also disruptive on the defensive end, leading the team and ranking tied for 14th in the league with 1.5 steals per game, and has a team-high eight blocks this season.
5. Pass = Two-Way Impact
Maraja Pass has been a steady two-way presence for the Phoenix this season, leading the team in assists and is second in steals. Pass is tied for ninth in the conference in assists per game (3.0), including a season-high five assists on six occasions. Her 1.8 assist-to-turnover ratio ranks tied for third in the league, and 101
st in the nation. She is averaging 1.3 steals per game and has started 44 consecutive games for the Phoenix.
