ELON – The Elon women's basketball team (10-11, 5-4 CAA) continues conference play this week, traveling to Triad rival North Carolina A&T on Friday night before hosting William & Mary on Sunday. Tipoff against the Aggies (8-12, 3-6 CAA) is set for 7 p.m. ET at the Corbett Sports Center, followed by a 1 p.m. ET start against the Tribe (11-9, 4-5 CAA) at Schar Center.

vs. North Carolina A&T
- Series record: Elon leads, 16-12
- The Phoenix have won back-to-back meetings against the Aggies, including a 67-60 win on Jan. 23, this season.
- North Carolina A&T (8-12, 3-6 CAA) is coming off a 62-57 win over Hampton last weekend.
- The Aggies were picked to finish third in the CAA with three first-place votes in the 2025-26 CAA Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Chaniya Clark earned Preseason All-CAA First Team honors, while Paris Locke was named to Preseason All-CAA Second Team, and D'Mya Tucker earned a spot on the Honorable Mention team.
- Three Aggies players are averaging double-figure points: Tucker (12.1), Clark (11.9), and Locke (11.1).
- Clark is also averaging a team-best 7.5 rebounds, ranking fourth in the CAA.

- The Phoenix has won one of the last five meetings with the Tribe, most recently falling 64-59 last season on January 31, 2025.
- William & Mary (11-9, 4-5 CAA) went 1-1 last weekend, falling at Campbell63-54, before defeating UNCW 79-68.
- The reigning CAA Champions were picked to finish sixth in the 2025-26 CAA Preseason Poll, with Cassidy Geddes earning a spot on the All-CAA Preseason Second Team.
- Geddes leads William & Mary, averaging 14.2 PPG, ranking sixth in the CAA, while Natalie Fox also averages double-figures at 11.1
- Fox also averages a team-high 6.4 rebounds per game, while Alexa Mikeska is fourth in the CAA, averaging 3.5 assists per game.
- As a team, the Tribe is third in the conference in free-throw percentage (71.2), assists per game (13.75), and steals per game (9.2).

1. One Down, One Up
Elon split its home matchups last weekend, falling 77-69 to Charleston before defeating Towson 68-54 at home. Against the Cougars,
Laila Anderson led the Phoenix with 19 points, shooting 6-for-14 from the field and was perfect from the free-throw line for the third consecutive game.
Tyana Walker led the team on the boards with nine rebounds and added three steals. On Sunday, Anderson paced the team for the third straight game with 16 points while
Tyana Walker (15) and
LaNae' Corbett (13) also recorded double-figures.
Quinzia Fulmore recorded her third double-digit rebound game of the season with 10 boards.
2. Rookie Strikes Twice
Tamia Watkins earned her second CAA Rookie of the Week honor on Monday after an impressive 2-1 week for the Phoenix. Watkins averaged 9.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game over the three-game span. At Hampton, the Kershaw, N.C. native notched her second double-double of the season with 13 points and a season-high 15 rebounds. Watkins followed that performance up with eight points and six rebounds against Charleston, before another six points in a 68-54 win over Towson. The first-year shares the team lead with 4.9 rebounds per game and is shooting 41.7% from the field this season.
3. Anderson Ascending
Senior guard
Laila Anderson has emerged as one of Elon's most consistent offensive threats over the last five games, reaching double-figures in six consecutive matchups. Anderson is averaging 18.6 points per game during that span while shooting an efficient 51.6 percent from the field (32-of-62). She opened the stretch with a 21-point performance at College of Charleston on Jan. 18, where she knocked down four three-pointers. Anderson continued her strong play against North Carolina A&T, scoring 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting. She then scored a season-high 22 points at Hampton, going 8-for-13 from the field, and added a season-high five steals. Anderson again led the team with 19 points with another perfect night from the free-throw line, going 5-for-5 against Charleston, before capping off her run with a 16-point performance in the team's win over Towson.
4. Ranked and Rising
Elon has been one of the most statistically impactful teams in the conference, driven by its depth and defensive pressure. The Phoenix average 29.1 points per game off the bench, ranking first in the CAA and ninth nationally, with
Ashanti Fox leading the reserves at 8.2 points per game. Elon's defensive intensity has translated into takeaways, as the Phoenix force 20.14 turnovers per game, which ranks second in the CAA and 48th nationally. Elon has been equally effective in steals, ranking second in the CAA and 80th nationally with 9.8 steals per game.
5. Pass = TWO-WAY IMPACT
Maraja Pass has been a steady two-way presence for the Phoenix this season, leading the team in assists and is second in steals. Pass is sixth in the conference in assists per game (3.2), including a season-high seven assists and zero turnovers vs. Towson. Her 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio ranks tied for third in the CAA. She is averaging 1.3 steals per game and has started 48 consecutive games for the Phoenix.
